Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Taylor Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches on its servers. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use them to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting services may create ordinary logs that include an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. We review aggregate information to maintain the service and understand general readership. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
We use this limited information to operate the service, resolve technical issues, measure traffic, and improve its pages. We do not sell visitor lists or create profiles of individual visitors.
External Services and Links
Links may lead to Taylor, Wayne County, Michigan, library, archive, or third-party search services. Each outside service has its own terms and privacy practices, which govern information submitted there. That includes sponsored search results supplied by a third-party company.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Providers that host or support the service can process server-log information for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose information only when valid legal process requires disclosure.
Safeguards and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for as long as the stated purposes require. Because there are no user accounts, Taylor Residents Directory does not maintain a visitor password or account profile that could be exposed.
Visitors Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us so it can be removed.
Choices About Your Data
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask for access, correction, or deletion of personal data held by a website. The Michigan research used for this service did not identify an enacted general consumer-privacy statute that changes that limited practice. Because we retain very little, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and available server logs, then removing what we find. Use the Contact page to ask. Michigan FOIA, MCL 15.231 et seq., governs requests to public bodies, not records held by this private service; requests to correct or restrict a government record must go to its custodian.
